The ministry has claimed that the developers of NPR65bn ($748m) Chainpur Seti River project has failed to submit the revised fees and progress reports overlooking its persistent reminders, reported The Himalayan Times.

Department of Electricity Development information officer Gokarna Raj Pantha stated the federal authority has annulled the license following the secretary level meeting.

The project developers failed to renew as per the increase in the rate of renewal charges, added Pantha.

As per revised guidelines of the country, projects with power capacity in excess of 100MW are liable to pay annual fee of NPR5m ($57,5722).

Jindal, however, has made a payment of NPR1m ($11,514) during the last fiscal to the government.
