The company said that the 84-acre lease is a strategic acquisition that is adjacent to the Swenson Lease, which was acquired by the company earlier this year.

New Western Energy president Javan Khazali said the first test well that was drilled on the Swenson Lease is currently in production, and the acquisition of the adjacent Reves Lease allows the company to further expand its acreage in the region.

New Western Energy is engaged in the acquisition, development, production and exploration of oil, gas and minerals primarily in North America.
