The new North Rødby prospect when combined with existing Als prospect, yields volumetrics of 444.4mmbbl oil and net NPV10 of $3.67bn to the company.

The company holds a 25% working interest in Danica Resources, which covers an area of 1.67 million acres in the South Permian basin in southern Denmark.

A structure is deemed to be present at North Rødby in both the Z2 Main Dolomite and Rotliegendes intervals.

RPS advises New World to consider drilling either of the prospects rather than acquiring 3D seismic in view of the relative costs involved and to de-risk the project further.

The company said discovery at any one of the prospects will reduce reservoir and hydrocarbon system risk for the project.

New World has an option to earn an additional 55% working interest in the project after completion of drilling one well, bringing its working interest to 80%.

New World CEO William Kelleher said, "In aggregate, Als and North Rødby, have indicative volumetrics totalling 444.4 MMbbls oil (unrisked sum of individual P50, discovery case), and success case economic outcomes of NPV10 US$3.67 billion net to New World."
