Under the MOU, NHPC will hold 51% stake and OHPC will hold 49% stake in the proposed JV.
Initially, JVC will deal with three hydroelectric projects namely Sindol-I, II and III with a total capacity of 320MW on Mahanadi river, downstream of Hirakud.
The JVC will allocate 100% power to Orissa State and provide 12% free power generated from Sindol-I, II and III Power Stations to the State Government.
