The project comprises 34 multi-megawatt turbines from the new Nordex N117/2400 series.
The Beebe wind farm will be providing about 27,000 homes with clean electricity.
The model is designed to maximize output in light wind conditions.
Exelon will be commencing the preparatory construction work at the site in May 2012, with the turbines to be supplied from the Nordex US production facility in late summer 2012.
Nordex is a developer and manufacturer of wind turbines.
