The Zöschingen wind farm is located in the north-west of the shire of Dillingen and has an installed capacity of 24MW.

The N117/2014 has the rotor blades measuring about 60m in length and is to go into series production in late 2012.

Nordex will be supplying a hub height of 120m as the wind farm is located in a forest, for optimised electricity generation.

Nordex Management Board member responsible for sales, service and project management Lars Bondo Krogsgaard said, "With its large rotor sweep, the N117/2400 is a highly attractive solution in economic terms for locations in Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg as well as Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate."

The ten 2.4MW turbines will generate enough electrcity to cater around one third of power consumption in the entire shire, which is equivalent to about 15,000 homes.

The customer commenced work on the wind project in mid-March, and is scheduled for completion by the end of the year.
