Under the contract, Nordex will deliver and install a total of seven N100/2500 turbines for the 17.5MW Cormainville wind farm, which is scheduled to be commissioned in the summer of 2016.

Installation of the turbines will commence in January 2016. The contract also includes a 15-year premium service deal.

Located about 120km south-west of Paris, France, the wind farm is being developed by Volkswind.

STEAG New Energies management spokesman Dr Stephan Nahrath said; "We are pleased to be working again with the participating companies, thus adding a further chapter to our long-standing joint activities."

Designed for medium wind speeds, the N100/2500 turbines can yield an above-average capacity factor of around 34% for the project.

A total 118MW of wind farms are being operated by STEAG New Energies currently in France, Germany and Poland.
