Under the contract, Nordex install 19 of its N117/2400 Generation Gamma turbines at the wind farm in Central Anatolia, near the city of Yayhali.

The wind farm is expected to produce 148GWh of energy per year, enough to power around 42,000 homes.

The second contract with Suay Enerji Uretim will see Nordex install four N117/2400 turbines at the Abduk wind farm on the Aegean coast.

Nordex CEO Lars Bondo Krogsgaard said: "Once again, the contracts underscore the importance which the Turkish market has for Nordex.

"As the rotor blades, anchor cages and towers are produced locally, our Turkish customers are able to achieve a higher feed-in tariff."

Germany-based Nordex said the site of Kurtkayasi project has average wind speeds of about 6.9 m/s. The average wind speed at Abduk wind farm’s site of 6.6 m/s.

Kurtkayasi is the second project for Nordex in this year in Central Anatolia. The company is also installing 22 N117/2400 turbines at the nearby Yayhali wind farm.
