The first few turbines are expected to be delivered and installed in autumn 2010, with the entire 30MW wind farm to go on line by mid 2011.

The wind farm is located close to the coast in North Greece, where wind speeds of seven meters a second prevail. The high-speed turbine versions will be generating an annual yield of 66,000MWh, sufficient to supply approximately 14,500 households with electricity while avoiding emissions of approximately 65,000 tons of carbon dioxide.

The delivery contract includes five-year premium service. The customer will be executing the infrastructure preparations itself, Nordex said.

Last week, the company signed a frame work agreement with Skelleftea Kraft, Skelleftea, to supply a total of 118 turbines in the N100/2500 series in Sweden.
