The well is located in the production licence PL396, about 200km north east of North Cape.
Preliminary drilling results indicate that the well, being drilled byTransocean Barents does not contain commercial quantities of hydrocarbons.
The partners in licence PL396 are Noreco as operator, holding a 50% stake, Front Exploration 30% and Petoro 20% interest.
