The short core drilling program was aimed to assess both the extent at depth of graphite mineralization discovered during ground prospecting in 2014 in the northern sector of the property , as well as a number of distinct, kilometer-scale conductors whose surface investigation is stalled by thick overburden.

The program involved seven boreholes totaling 675.7m and the company collected a total of 135 split-core samples, which will be analyzed by ALS Minerals laboratory for graphite and multi-element.

The company will use the results to plan the next development stage on the project.

The planned work involves in definition drilling to measure 43-101 compliant resource estimate over most promising graphite mineralized bodies on of the Matawinie Property, the company said.

The Matawinie graphite property is estimated to have 552 claims, which are distributed in ten distinct claim blocks over an area of approximately 70km by 60km.

Mining exploration company Nouveau Monde has portfolio of properties for base and precious metals, and industrial minerals in the province of Québec.
