Short description of the contract or purchase(s)::Provision of a modern one-piece suit design (tried & tested / ‘off the peg’) appropriate for single use which affords the wearer a high level of protection and user comfort. The one-piece suit must be of sufficient quality, materials and workmanship to meet the rigours of the intended duty without failure. Design attributes to include:
1. Single one-piece garment gauge 150-300 micron pvc.
2. Simple dressing, undressing via single opening in the suit (split dome or cross shoulder).
3. Basic version of suit with air distribution system to the breathing zone.
4. Body cooling capability via lattice system to arms and legs.
5. Option of superior respiratory protection during undressing via incorporation of internal air-fed respirator.
6 compatibility with appropriately sized oversuits which provide some abrasion and puncture protection to the one-piece suit and do not interfere with air circulation within the one-piece suit or with any air supply or exhaust arrangements.
7. Provision of ancillary equipment as part of the air distribution system e.g ventilation hose connectors.
The Supplier Quality Control arrangements will include final inspection and sign off of the constructed air-fed suit to ensure ‘fit for purpose’ status.
