Nuon, a subsidiary of Vattenfall, has signed an agreement with a public energy and waste company HVC for the sale of three district heating projects.
The divestment of these small scale district heating projects is in line with the heat strategy of Nuon.
Nuon said under this strategy the company focuses exclusively on large scale district heating projects.
The company strives to increase its customer base for district heating to 165.000 customers on 1 January 2018.
HVC will provide district heating to over four thousand residential connections in three municipalities in the Netherlands.
HVC is also responsible for production, distribution, combined heat and power and the connections.
