The pipeline was built by Oando’s subsidiary Oando Gas and Power, under the joint venture arrangement with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation’s subsidiary Nigerian Gas Company.

The 18-inch pipeline will have the capacity to deliver up to 100million standard cubic feet per day (mmscf/d) of natural gas.

It will deliver an initial 22mmscf/d of gas to United Cement, to fuel its new 2.5million metric tonnes per annum cement plant located in Mfamosing.

Oando Group’s CEO Wale Tinubu said that the pipeline will provide clean, cheap, safe and environmental friendly fuel to industries in the South-south region of Nigeria.
