The project, which will be located in the Maranon River Basin, will comprise a 175m high by 370m long dam. It will have a capacity to produce 600MW and a flooded area of 32km².
According to the company, $1.2bn were invested in Chaglla Hydroelectric Power Plant in Peru. It is the first worldwide asset of Odebrecht Energia.
