PetrolWorld quoted the New South Wales Minister for Police, David Campbell, as saying that, it came to his notice that there were as many as 11,500 incidences of motorists leaving petrol stations before paying for their fuel, a 7% increase over the previous year.
Mr Campbell said that out of the major fuel retailers, Mobil was the only one prepared to introduce a prepay system along with some independent fuel resellers, reports the news source.
