The average daily output stood at 7,799 barrels by the end of February 2009, compared with 7,315 barrels during the same period in the previous year, constituting a 6.1% rise.

The bulletin said that the average price of Oman oil barrel declined by 47.9% by the end of February 2009 to $45.25 per barrel, against $86.78 per barrel during the same period in the year earlier.

Oman’s production of natural gas stood at 170.867 million cubic feet (MCF), by the end of February 2009, compared with 172.408 MCF in the year-ago period, constituting 0.9% decline.

Gas utilization stood at 170.764 MCF by the end of February 2009, versus 172.408 MCF through the same period in the previous year, constituting a 1% decline.
