The Hopfer 1-17H well is operated by Devon Energy.
The company drilled the horizontal Mississippian well as a part of its strategic business step to spud two wells every month.
Osage Exploration and Development chairman and chief executive officer Kim Bradford said the company is participating in the drilling program of the Devon operated well.
"The Hopfer 1-17H is Osage’s second well to be drilled during the month of September, and is located in the section adjoining our previously announced McPhail 2-18H," Bradford said.
Osage holds 14.6% working interest in the well.
