EC Source will provide engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services for the transmission project, which is expected to begin operation by mid-2013.

The power line will deliver additional electricity to serve customers of Rocky Mountain Power and Pacific Power, which are the retail operating companies of PacifiCorp.

The Mona-Oquirrh segment, which is about 100 miles in length, is being built under PacifiCorp’s Energy Gateway Transmission Expansion Program.

This segment consists of a new single circuit 500/345kV power line from an existing substation in Juab County to a future Limber substation to be built in Tooele County and a double-circuit 345kV line from Limber to the existing Oquirrh substation in West Jordan, Utah.
