Drill core samples were obtained from Pele’s fully owned Eco Ridge Mine Rare Earths and Uranium Project in Elliot Lake, Ontario.

Saskatchewan Research Council is currently conducting metallurgical testing of the samples.

Pele president Al Shefsky stated, "Our production of mixed rare earth concentrates and yellow cake is an important metallurgical processing milestone and confirms that Pele Mountain is a clear leader in the race to develop secure and reliable supplies of critical rare earths in North America."

The company is on track to prepare pilot plant testing and project descriptions for regulatory approval through ongoing processing optimization studies.

Pele expects to obtain a license to construct its Eco Ridge Mine in 2015.

Pele is exploring and developing rare earth projects at Mountain Pass in California, US, and Elliot Lake in Ontario, Canada, to achieve commercial rare earth production from hard rock mining.
