The primary assets of DES Botswana include eight diamond prospecting licences, covering 5,746km2 in Botswana.

Under its 2015 Botswana diamond exploration program, Peregrine will drill test four priority kimberlite targets.

The program, which is expected to cost about C$300,000, will focus on target drilling, additional target generation and ground truthing.

Target testing through rotary air blast (RAB) drilling will focus on the Moralane license, which covers 664 km2 and features a kimberlite indicator mineral (KIM) anomaly with related isolated magnetic anomalies.

About 500m of RAB drilling is proposed to test four KIM-supported magnetic anomalies.

Target generation will focus on two areas which include Gope and Nata. Peregrine holds two licences covering 1,001km² at Gope. At Nata, the company owns four licences covering 3,830km2.

Peregrine Diamonds president and CEO Tom Peregoodoff said: "Working with the principals of DES Botswana, Peregrine has put together a cost-effective and focused exploration program for 2015.

"The work program will commence in July and the drilling is expected to commence in September."

Peregrine Diamonds is focused on Canada’s North. The company has to date discovered 71 kimberlites at its Chidliak project, situated 120km from Iqaluit, the capital of Nunavut.
