As per the terms of the agreement, Petrofac will provide engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) services to the platform with the overall project expected to be completed in around 15 months.

Bekok-C produces crude oil and gas from its own wells, and serves as a manned gas processing and compression hub exporting gas from the Guntong, Tiong and Bekok fields of Block PM9.

Petrofac Engineering, Construction, Operations and Maintenance division chief executive Marwan Chedid said this project also represents a considerable step forward for Petrofac as the company develops its leading EPC capability offshore through the its Offshore Projects & Operations business.

"We have been working closely with Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd since 2004 and will continue to use the full extent of our broad services capability to support their development of Malaysia’s oil & gas industry," Chedid said.
