The new terminal will have a total capacity of 27,000 cubic meters and five multi-product loading lines for bottom and top-loading, as well as unloading facility for 20 railway trucks. The terminal will also be provided with a vapors recovery unit, a fire protection system, and a terminal control and tank farm management system.

Tamas Mayer, an executive board member at Petrom, said: We have a clear modernization strategy for the fuel terminals, for which we will invest more than E200 million. It is important that we focus both on the supply in increased safety conditions as well as on the implementation of high standards in the gas stations network.

The construction of the Jilava terminal will cost us approximately E32 million; we will provide this terminal with a series of safety systems so that it fulfills all OMV and Petrom standards as well as the requirements of the European Union.
