The company will shut down its 238,000 barrels per day refinery completely on Monday morning and has already closed down the fuel terminals situated in New Jersey’s Riverhead and Tremley Point.

Phillips 66 was quoted by Dow Jones as saying that, ""Decisions regarding restarting these operations will be made once the storm has passed and post-storm assessments have been completed."

The Bayway oil refinery transforms crude oil into diesel fuel, jet fuel, gasoline, and heating oil. The refinery has a petrochemical plant which manufactures lubricants and additives. The refinery also houses a polypropylene plant.
