Within the co-operation agreement, PKN Orlen and Ford will promote bioethanol-based E85 fuel across Poland. The companies plan to proceed with the R&D project with the use of the biofuel, which may be used to power the Flexifuel engines offered by Ford in the Polish market.
Wojciech Kotlarek, member of the management board of PKN Orlen, said: I am certain that in combining our efforts with Ford we will do more for the development of bioethanol-based fuels in the Polish market. The launch of a new product will undoubtedly bring benefits to the environment, as well as stimulate growth in the domestic agricultural sector.
