Power Machines Fezer, Power Machines’ Brazilian affiliate, has won a contract from Recanto Energética SPE S/A for the delivery of principal hydraulic equipment for the Recanto small-scale hydraulic power plant.
Under the contract, awarded following an international tender, Power Machines Fezer will manufacture and deliver two horizontal bulb-type hydraulic power units, each with a capacity of 4.75MW. It will also render the supervised installation services and train the power plant personnel.
"At present, northern and north-eastern regions of the Mato Grosso state have limited access to electric energy," says Artyom Varnakov, the General Director of Power Machines Fezer. "Putting the Recanto power plant into operation will give impetus to the economic and industrial development of these territories."
Power Machines Fezer is focused on the development of new products for small-scale power generation. At present, the company is involved in the manufacture and delivery of hydraulic equipment for Bom Jesus, Theodoro Schlickmann and Abranjo Brazilian hydropower plants. It also delivers spare parts for the La Mina hydropower plant (Chile) and ball pre-turbine gate valves for the upgrade of the Henry Borden plant (Brazil).
