The Votkinsk hydroelectric station is located on the Kama River along the border of Perm Krai and Udmurtia, Russia, and about 30km south of Votkinsk.

Under the contract, Power Machines will design, manufacture and supply a total of ten equipment sets, each comprising an adjustable-blade hydroturbine complete with an automatic control system, a hydrogenerator and hydropower unit auxiliaries, to replace the old hydropower units, which were commissioned in 1966.

A part of RusHydro’s Comprehensive Renovation Program, the hydropower units replacement project is expected to boost power generation capacity of the hydro facility from 130MW to 1,150MW.

Power Machines will also be responsible for installation supervision and pre-commissioning of hydraulic equipment, as part of the contract.

Work under the contract is expected to be performed until 2025.

The two 110MW units and eight 100MW units of the Votkinskaya plant were manufactured in 1960s by Power Machines companies – Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod and Electrosila.
