The Naitwar-Mori Project is located in the district Uttrakashi in the state of Uttrakhand, India.
Civil Works include: a 30.5m high barrage; a 20m wide by 5.5m deep by 300m long diversion channel; an intake structure followed by open twin desilting chambers, each 130m long and 25m wide by 13.5m high; 4,289m long head race tunnel of 5.6m diameter; a 41m high by 18m diameter simple type surge shaft; a 231m long by 4m diameter pressure shaft; an underground/surface powerhouse having an installation of two vertical Francis turbine generating units each of 28MW; a transformer bay to accommodate 11 220kV transformers, tailrace channel/ tunnel etc.; and, associated electro-mechanical and hydro mechanical works. Completion time for the project is 36 months.
