Gaddy will oversee electric distribution and customer service operations for more than 560,000 homes and businesses.
Gaddy served in several roles in the company’s legal department, including deputy general counsel. In 2000, he has been promoted to VP of administration, responsible for the legal, human resources, corporate communications and corporate services departments at Progress Energy Florida. In 2002, he became VP of Progress Energy Florida’s South Coastal Region, which includes the Orlando area.
From 2004 to 2009, Gaddy served in Raleigh as VP of corporate services. In that role, he was responsible for the company’s real estate, corporate security, environmental health and safety governance and risk-management functions.
Gaddy serves on several boards, including the Morrisville Chamber of Commerce, the N.C. Museum of Art, the Triangle Land Conservancy, the Raleigh Area Development Authority and the N.C. State College of Management advisory board.
Gaddy is a native of Brooklyn, New York, and earned a law degree from Georgetown University.
