Under the contract, the company will supply 598.7MW to PSO customers from wind farms near Seiling, Balko and Goodwell,

The 20-year deal is subject to approval by the Oklahoma Corporation Commission.

PSO president and chief operating officer Stuart Solomon said, "With these long-term power purchase agreements we’re adding a significant amount of Oklahoma wind energy, bringing more diversity to our fuel mix, and doing so at a price that will provide substantial savings for our customers."

The Goodwell wind pProject will be constructed across a site of about 20,000acres in Texas County and is expected to deliver 200MW of capacity to power about 60,000 homes.

The contract for additional 400MW was based on pricing opportunities that will reduce costs for PSO’s customers by an estimated $53m during the first year of the contract.

Scheduled to be operational January 2016, the Goodwell will be TradeWind’s third project constructed in Oklahoma.
