PSO’s demand response program will be built on Comverge’s Apollo Demand Response Management System software. PSO serves approximately 530,000 customers in eastern and southwestern Oklahoma. To help its customers save more than $100m, the company has received regulatory approval to invest $80m in new and improved intelligent energy management programs.

Under a three-year agreement, Comverge will provide full turnkey services including hardware, enrollment, installation and call center services to PSO’s residential and commercial and industrial customers.

Kathy Champion, manager of consumer programs at PSO, said: “This program will support the current and future energy management initiatives for PSO’s residential and commercial and industrial customers. Comverge’s experience will help us and our customers build a cost-effective program for managing demand and reducing energy consumption.”
