Pulse Mining Analytics is said to allow customers to access data anywhere from the cloud.

Pulse Mining said that embedding Birst cloud business intelligence and analytics in its new offering will allow the company to offer fast integration with its mining ERP application as well as SAP and Oracle ERP applications.

Pulse Mining visualization and analytics manager Rob Parvin said: "The traditional BI approach was not either a valid option or appropriate for an agile methodology with respect to the creation of analytical capability for organizations.

"Birst represents ‘the next evolution’ of BI software, allowing us to implement a single tool-based development platform and a flexible cloud infrastructure delivery model."

The company uses Birst for its analytics requirements, including generating reports and analyzing data across its business activities such as sales and operations performance.

Birst chief product officer Brad Peters said: "The potential for business intelligence has always been about combining data from across an organization in order to create new insights."

New South Wales-based Pulse Mining Systems provides ERP solutions primarily for the mining industry.
