The company acquired 5,000m3 of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) terminal, a principal asset, located in the port of Dakar in Senegal.

Puma Energy Africa head Christophe Zyde said, "Puma Energy prides itself on partnering with developing markets. We hope to develop both our LPG business and our presence in Senegal quickly."

Vitogaz Senegal general manager Pierre Vuillier said, "This is an exciting development for Senegal and for Puma Energy. We look forward to honouring all existing contractual commitments and will continue to invest in the country."

The acquisition will increase the company’s LPG business and will also increase its African presence and add 39 members to its staff.

The company will rename Vitogaz Senegal as Puma Energy Senegal.

Puma Energy, a subsidiary of Trafigura, is an integrated midstream and downstream oil company.
