This facility is the first in private sector and second in the country, the first being run by the Karnataka State Transport Corporation.
7% ethanol has been permitted to blend with diesel. Besides 0.05% solubliser addictive will be added to make the alternative fuel, Nitin Gadkari, chairman of the company said.
Gadkari said in foreign countries like Brazil, 75% ethanol was blended with 25%petrol and there was no air pollution.
This fuel is eco-friendly and all the vehicles of group will now run on blended fuel, he added.
