As per the terms of the MOU, Encros will be responsible for the development, testing, and operation of recycling technologies, while pv recycling will look into the areas of administration, logistics, and regulatory compliance.

The two companies will co-market their services to companies in the solar supply chain with initial focus on solar panel manufacturers selling products in North America and Europe.

With the need for the replacement of aging installations in Europe and increase in demand for US module manufacturing, resulting in volume of panels reaching their end-of-life, the handling of the factory scrap in a sustainable manner represents a thriving business opportunity.

Jennifer Woolwich, CEO of pv recycling, said: “We are pleased about this collaboration with Encros. It enables us to better meet the needs of our multinational customers, gain access to overseas markets, and also contribute to environmentally sustainable economic development in the US.”
