Commissioned in August 2014, the plant has an average output of CO2-free 414.3 millionkWh, which is enough to meet the power needs for more than 90,000 households and will be operated with a local consortium partner to the end of 2019.

Located in the in the upper part of the Inn valley, near the Swiss border in the province of Tyrol, the power plant comprises a 2.5km long reservoir, a 15m high weir, a 23.2km long head race tunnel and a power house with 2 Francis Turbines.
