GCL-Poly Energy Holdings executive president Shu Hua said, "The Quanta team will play an important role in the development of one of the largest solar tracking facilities in the world."

The company will provide comprehensive design, engineering, procurement and installation for all equipment required for the Alpaugh 50MWac project, under the terms of contract signed with SPS Alpaugh 50.

The project is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

Quanta also signed a separate contract with Alpaugh North for the 20MWac Alpaugh North Project, to be complete in October this year.

The Alpaugh 50MWac project and the 20MWac Alpaugh North Project span more than 500 acres and will use 324,000 solar tracking modules, provided by GCL Solar Energy.

SPS Alpaugh 50 and Alpaugh North are subsidiaries of SPE subsidiary of GCL Solar Energy.
