The multipart RIO system can transport the Basin’s crude oil as well as condensate production through outbound rail and pipeline to multiple downstream markets across the US.

The rail facility, which is currently under construction, will provide services for outbound crude oil and condensate and inbound frac sand.

Located near Loving, New Mexico, in the center of the basin’s drilling and production activity, the 300-acre rail terminal will provide storage, blending and rail loading facilities for outbound crude oil and condensate for the Delaware Basin.

Rangeland Energy president and CEO Christopher Keene said that the facilities will offer customers with the ability to effectively manage their crude oil supply by providing points of liquidity and connectivity to multiple downstream markets.

"We think the RIO System is well positioned to stay ahead of drilling and production schedules in the Delaware Basin and will provide our customers with the flexibility they need to maximize the value of their products," Keene added.

Additionally, Rangeland’s RIO Hub will provide frac sand suppliers with unloading, storage and truck loading facilities for moving product into the Delaware Basin by rail.

New Mexico Governor Susana Martinez said, "The services Rangeland will provide will further increase New Mexico’s ability to develop its energy sources, grow our economy and continue to provide very well-paying jobs for New Mexico families."
