These owners are Ras Laffan Liquefied Natural Gas (RL), Ras Laffan Liquefied Natural Gas II (RLII), Ras Laffan Liquefied Natural Gas 3 (RL3), Qatargas I (QGI), Qatargas II (QGII), Qatargas 3 (QG3) and Qatargas 4 (QG4) in addition to Al Khaleej Gas, Dolphin Energy, Pearl GTL and Barzan mega projects.
Hamad Rashid Al Mohannadi, RasGas managing director and chief executive officer officiated at the ceremony which hosted representatives from Qatar Petroleum, Ras Laffan Industrial City, RasGas executive leadership team, as well as senior representatives from each of the owner companies, contractors and subcontractors.
Following a tour of the RasGas Common Offplot Projects facilities by the senior delegation, Al Mohannadi officially inaugurated the Common Offplot Projects. A short film specially commissioned by RasGas project management team enabled the entire audience to view the Common Offplot facilities and gain a better understanding of how this project was successfully completed and how it will bring immediate benefits to all the parties involved.
In his opening remarks during the official ceremony, Al Mohannadi, emphasized that this achievement was a testament to the efforts and commitment of all involved, saying, The completion of these projects is a tremendous success story and it wouldn’t have been possible without the total professionalism and dedication of our employees and contractors who have all demonstrated extraordinary teamwork, skills and efficiency.
The Common Offplot Projects were completed with an outstanding safety record, ahead of schedule, with quality and under budget.
Also speaking at the ceremony, Dave Marchak, RasGas venture group manager said: The Common Offplot Projects have set new benchmarks for project execution excellence particularly in the area of safety performance.
Further underlining the importance of this achievement, Hamad Al Muhannadi, RasGas operations group manager stated The Common Offplot Projects will bring great economies of scale and associated long term benefits to the various companies operating within the Ras Laffan Industrial City.
