The 293,040 REC Peak Energy Series solar panels will be installed at the SolarCo power plants. This will take the number of REC’s large-scale installations in Thailand to seven.

REC Solar Sales and Marketing senior vice president Luc Graré said, "We have made dedicated efforts in recent years to strengthen our global solar business and to significantly expand our presence in growing markets like Southeast Asia. We are glad to see that our efforts are now materializing."

The facilities will be owned and operated by Yanhee EGCO Holding, while Italthai Engineering and Phoenix Solar will share engineering, procurement and construction responsibilities.

EGCO senior vice president Pongsapat Theppratuangthip said,"REC has a strong reputation and their high-performing solar panels allow for optimal land use by providing higher yields.

"We are confident that the solar plants we build will reliably maximize our return on investment while generating clean, renewable energy for Thailand," Theppratuangthip added.
