REG acquired the High Haswell wind project in January this year. The turbines are scheduled to be delivered to the site in November and the project is expected to be operational by late December 2010. The repowered wind farm is expected to produce approximately 11GWh of output per annum.

Andrew Whalley, CEO of REG, said: “These two new turbines, along with the other projects we are currently constructing at Goonhilly Downs and Loscar, will more than double REG’s wind output to around 100GWh per annum. This further emphasizes our ability to acquire and develop small wind farms in the UK.”

REG is mainly engaged in the development, construction and operation of wind farms, and generating power from refined used cooking oil in the UK.
