The planning approval allows the company to install two wind turbines each with a generating capacity of 2MW on the greenfield site.

The company has negotiated with the Ministry of Defense (MoD) for this project following an objection regarding radar interference.

REG chief executive Andrew Whalley said that the planning permission is the result of persistence and diligence on the part of the company’s development team over a long period and underpins the value of its organic development activities.

REG is mainly engaged in the development, construction and operation of wind farms in the UK and involved in the generation of power from refined used cooking oil.
