The units are being shut for about four weeks for planned maintenance and inspection work.

A light cycle oil hydrocracker unit was shut on 20 September 2011, while a vacuum gas oil hydrotreating unit will be suspended from 23 September 2011, while all the other major processing units at the complex will operate at normal capacity.

Despite the shutdown of the two units the company said both its refineries at Jamnagar are planned to operate at their maximum crude processing capacity of 1.3 million barrels a day during the maintenance period.
