The rooftop system, which was built at the university’s main football practice facility Edberg-Olson Hall, is the first of its kind at a college or university in Philadelphia, according to the company.

The array includes 268 ReneSola 60-cell high efficiency Virtus II PV modules, which are capable to generate around 63KW of photovoltaic power.

The power produced by the system will be supplied to the Community Energy customers, as part of the deal, established with it.
ReneSola America president Kevin Chen said the company is confident that its products and service will continue to exceed expectations.

"We are also excited that this opportunity is enabling us to drive growth in the nascent renewable energy sector in Pennsylvania, and expect this project will position us for future growth in the region," Chen added.

ReneSola provides PV modules for projects ranging in size from a few kilowatts to multi-megawatts in markets around the world such as the US, Germany, Italy, Belgium, China, Greece, Spain and Australia.
