Together, the turbines will achieve a total generating capacity of 51.25MW. From June 2010, the first six turbines for the wind farm Fontaine Macon in the Department of Aube are to be delivered and then commissioned in August of the same year.

For 2011, the contracts envisage the supply of nine REpower MM92 for the wind farm Sevigny Waleppe as well as ten further turbines for the project Saint-Germainmont. Both wind farms are located in the Ardennes Department, and the construction works for both are scheduled for the second quarter of 2011.

The projects will be executed by the French subsidiary of REpower. The company is responsible for delivery, commissioning and service of the turbines.

Per Pedersen, CEO of Repower, said: “We have already set up several wind farms in the Champagne-Ardennes region and are pleased to work with Akuo for the first time. We are confident that this will be the first step towards a global partnership.”
