Elementary Design, which will collaborate with RMD Technologies in the final design phases of the current small electric vehicles, developing the core product, will also assist with the continuing development of new and forthcoming models.
RMD Technologies has commenced operations at the new facility in California with the intention to launch sales of these new vehicles during the fourth quarter of 2010 and delivery of the first units shortly thereafter.
The EVs have been designed to qualify for all federal and state purchasing incentives, including the current federal tax credit available under the Energy Improvement and Extension Act of 2008.
RMD Technologies CEO Patrick Galliher said that the vehicles are being designed using state of the art 3D design and CAD software.
“We anticipate that the finished product will be a rewarding reflection of the expertise and collaborative nature of this partnership,” Galliher said.
