Under the contract, RMT will be able to assist CFP members with determining and documenting application of the USEPA’s GHG mandatory reporting rule and, if necessary, calculating GHG emissions, writing GHG monitoring plans to help control and monitor emissions, and providing compliance assistance.

RMT GHG services include assisting facility owner ‘Designated Representatives’ in fulfilling their responsibilities under the rule, serving as a single point of contact for information, and installation of required monitoring devices.

The one-year contract is effective February 22, 2010, and may be renewed annually for up to four years. Additional environmental services that RMT may offer under the contract include consulting for any emissions discharges or releases including, preparation of applications for permits by rule, general permits, or individual permits; preparation of required reports; environmental assessments; applicability analyses; sampling and analyses and remediation.

RMT will also provide services related to environmental construction; regulatory negotiations for all environmental agencies; and compliance assurance review of applicable ozone-depleting substance regulations.

Dave Oldaker, senior consultant of RMT, said: “Complying with the USEPA requirements will be more efficient for CFP members through this contract. Members will be able to access RMT’s services immediately, since the required government bid process has already been completed, saving both time and money.”
