The acquisition comes after Petro Acquisitions, parent firm of the AmeriStop chain, filed for bankruptcy in November 2007 and a court-ordered auction was conducted to liquidate the firm’s assets, reports PetrolWorld.
Daniel Arnold, president of Road Ranger, as quoted by PetrolWorld, said: Road Ranger is excited about its acquisition of these former AmeriStop sites, and is looking forward to expanding rapidly in the near future through the strategic acquisition of groups of stores and companies that fit Road Ranger’s criteria.
