Initially, the 13-year term loan will be used to finance drinking water and sewage treatment projects in Tyumen, Tver and Orenburg regions.

As part of its development program, RVK plans to upgrade and construction of water extraction facilities, modernize and extend water networks, undertake energy efficiency improvement by installing automated control systems and to improve sewage collection networks and treatment facilities.

The water operator will also receive an additional loan of EUR35m from Vnesheconombank, a bank based in Russia.

Previously in April 2008, EBRD also advanced an initial loan of EUR35m to RVK, also with a 13-year maturity.

RVK also provides services in Barnaul, Kaluga, Krasnodar and Omsk regions.
