The program involved soil sampling on 2,062 sample sites, on grids of 200m line spacing and 40m sample spacing.

The identified base metal targets at the prospect are expected to be indicative of VMS style mineralization.

Rubianna Resources managing director Steve Batty said, "The coincident Cu-Au ± Zn ± Pb soil anomalies coincide well with stratigraphic horizons and airborne magnetic data."

Four target areas between length of 0.5 to 2.5 km are distributed along the Killara and Johnson Cairn Formations, with soil assays defining copper of 260 parts per million (ppm), gold 23 parts per billion (ppb), zinc 309ppm and lead of 249ppm.

Two target areas that range in length from 1.5 to 2km within the Killara Formation, revealed copper of 270ppm, gold 185ppb, zinc at 150ppm and lead of about 30ppm.

Other areas with enhanced geochemical response have also been identified for further work.

Rubianna Resources plans to complete the next work programme comprising geological mapping and rock chip sampling by mid Q3, 2012.

This program will be followed by ground electromagnetic surveys ahead of drill testing, to prioritise drill targets.

Meanwhile, work permits and heritage surveys will be completed so that drilling can commence on the priority targets by the end of third quarter of 2012.
